Certain channels, like comms or talkback, must be kept on at all times, which you can do by locking the channel in hard solo mode.
To lock a channel in hard solo mode, press or long click the channel until the frame turns white.
When a channel is hard soloed, neither short clicking the channel nor short clicking Solo Clear will affect it. Clear the hard solo by long clicking the channel again. Long click Solo Clear to clear all solos, including hard solos.
Adjust the time of the long click in the Preferences window (⌘P).
You can hard solo single channels or groups.
All hard soloed channels and groups will stay soloed even when you change snapshots.
