Analyze Frequencies

Analyze frequencies in the coordination workspace to check for compatibility against the scan data. A compatible frequency will not conflict with other frequencies that are being used by the system.

Perform Frequency Analysis

  1. In the sidebar of the Frequency coordination tab, click Select frequencies from inventory.
  2. Choose which frequencies to add to your coordination.
  3. Use the tools in the sidebar to specify all environmental RF factors, including scan data, TV channels, exclusions, and inclusions.
  4. Select Analyze to see whether the frequencies are compatible. Compatible frequencies can be assigned and deployed to the inventory.
    • Green - frequency has no conflicts
    • Red - frequency has one or more conflicts
    • White - frequency was not analyzed
  5. Choose the lock icon to lock the frequency values. When you lock a frequency, you're indicating that you want to deploy it, even if the frequency is marked as incompatible. If an incompatible frequency is locked, it can be assigned and deployed.

See Analysis Details

Select the checkbox next to the Analyze button in the toolbar and click Analyze to see more details.
The analysis results screen with numbered callouts
  1. Expand a row to see the cause of a conflict.
  2. Expand or collapse all rows at once using the toolbar icons.
  3. See details about what caused the conflict.
  4. If another frequency in the window is related to the conflict, it appears with a light blue background when you select that conflict. You'll also see information about the conflict source:
    • Active channels in the inventory: Channel name in quotation marks
    • Backup frequencies from a Spectrum Manager: Spectrum Manager's device ID in square brackets
    • Backup frequencies from a WWB-hosted frequency list: Source is "WWB" and the RF zone that contains the frequency appears in parentheses
    • User-specified exclusions: Source of the conflicting frequency (manual or scan) appears in curly braces
  5. View a summary of analysis results in the sidebar.
  6. Select or clear these checkboxes to show or hide conflict types in the analysis summary.
    Note:
Hiding conflicts in the sidebar only affects the results view, not how frequency analysis functions. To resolve conflicts, specify different frequencies or perform frequency coordination for only those channels.
  7. Click the report icon to generate an analysis report. The report can be printed directly or exported to either a PDF or .csv file.
