Configuring Multiple Components with Presets

Presets provide a time-saving way to quickly configure multiple devices to have identical parameter settings. Create a preset by copying the settings from a device in your inventory or by creating custom settings.

Creating a Preset from a Component in the Inventory

The settings from a device in the inventory can be copied and saved a preset. The preset can then be applied to similar devices or other devices to set them to the same configuration. For example, you can select a ULX-D receiver from your inventory and save its settings as a preset. You could then use that preset to configure any other ULX-D receivers in your network.

  1. Click to highlight the component in the inventory.
  2. Click on the gear icon in Presets and select Save Presets.
  3. Enter a name for the preset and select Save.

Creating a Custom Preset

You can create your own custom presets by choosing a model and selecting the device properties.

  1. From Tools, select Preset configuration.
  2. Click on the plus sign and select the model family of the component that will use the preset. Use the Universal option for third-party devices, systems with mixed components (such as Axient and ULX-D), or custom devices.
  3. Enter a name for the preset and press Save.
  4. Click on the preset name in the list to access the Device properties.
  5. Place a check the box to include a property in the preset and then enter values for the included properties. Properties without the box checked will not be included in the preset.
  6. Select Save to finish.
