Configuring Multiple Components with Presets
Presets provide a time-saving way to quickly configure multiple devices to have identical parameter settings. Create a preset by copying the settings from a device in your inventory or by creating custom settings.
Creating a Preset from a Component in the Inventory
The settings from a device in the inventory can be copied and saved a preset. The preset can then be applied to similar devices or other devices to set them to the same configuration. For example, you can select a ULX-D receiver from your inventory and save its settings as a preset. You could then use that preset to configure any other ULX-D receivers in your network.
- Click to highlight the component in the inventory.
- Click on the gear icon in Presets and select Save Presets.
- Enter a name for the preset and select Save.
Creating a Custom Preset
You can create your own custom presets by choosing a model and selecting the device properties.
- From Tools, select Preset configuration.
- Click on the plus sign and select the model family of the component that will use the preset. Use the Universal option for third-party devices, systems with mixed components (such as Axient and ULX-D), or custom devices.
- Enter a name for the preset and press Save.
- Click on the preset name in the list to access the Device properties.
- Place a check the box to include a property in the preset and then enter values for the included properties. Properties without the box checked will not be included in the preset.
- Select Save to finish.
